Captain America: Reviewers War

WARNING !

This post contains major spoilers for civil war, so if you don’t want spoilers just gaze upon the lovely artwork accompanying it then move along.

Batman dies.

Hey Everyone
So most superhero films in general are about defeating the bad guy and saving the people. Civil War is about what does it mean to be a superhero and how many casualties must there be before a law has to be set in motion.

So team wise it isTeam Iron Man-War Machine -Vision-Spiderman-Black Panther
Team Captain America -Flacon-Winter Soldier -Hawkeye-Ant/Giant Man-Scarlet Witch
The people who switch-Agent 13-Black Widow
These teams are pretty well split however a issue with them is that to add them into the film it is very sudden and there is no build up for example Hawkeye appears after a small discussion about his retirement, Spider Man has a slight build up but not enough and Ant Man just gets kidnapped and appears with no explanation whatsoever. The story moves pretty well however you're not sure if there is already teams and you have very little clue as to what's going on with the actual sides. This feels like a filler film and not a Captain America film but you do still have the sense it's all about how Steve has to deal with his options.
A issue with this film is that when Spider-Man is not on screen you don't get the same sense as OMG because he is too good. Giant Man was a bit odd but it worked well and Peters reference to Star Wars and his many other jokes made that  scene great.
The film does set up well for Spider-Man Homecoming but not for Doctor Strange which is odd. The humour of this movie makes it amazing but the film can also be deadly serious.
The fight scenes are great however without Spider-Man the airport scene would have been not as good and the intro fight was probably a better fight using everyone's abilities and Redwing  (RIP Birdy)
-Crossbones
-Redwing
-Peggy Carter
-T'Chaka
-War Machine is crippled
-Cap has given up
-Bucky is frozen
-Falcon, Ant Man, Hawkeye and the others have gone into hiding
Overall this film in my opinion is a 9.8/10
I'm definitely going to rewatch this film in cinemas if I can actually find a seat…
It was however a good film, and like Bryce I probably will go and watch it again, it has all the humour and charm you would expect from a Marvel film and does the role of setting up Phase Three rather well so it is worth the watch. If anything it’s made me more excited for Doctor Strange in a few months (End credit scene would have been nice though..). So overall i’d give Civil war an 8 out of 10.

The brand new additions make this film so perfect being Spider-Man and Black Panther. Spider-Man is very reminiscent of Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man and their Peter Parker is very similar but from the 10 minutes you see Tom Holland has clearly nailed the role. Black Panther truly is everything Marvel wants him to be: Powerful, rich, mysterious and justice seeking. He understands what is happening and has a good motivation to go and kill Bucky unlike other characters *cough* Doctor Doom *Cough*

Baron Zemo dominates half of the film but never puts on the suit which makes him just like any other villain. His character is definitely the most human villain and has a good reason to cause a civil war.

So the people that died/casualties are
-Howard and Maria Stark (At the hands of Bucky)

Now usually it’s Bryce who dislikes the films, but strangely enough I’m the one with the negative opinion this time, now don’t get me wrong it was good but it wasn’t amazing. It was better than both the avengers films but personally I prefered Ant-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy.

-Cross bones is completely wasted, instead of saving him for a future story, perhaps the death of Captain America which followed the civil war comic, he just blows himself up in an attempt to kill Cap.
-I hate Bucky, he just doesn’t seem like a compelling character, I get that he is Cap’s friend, but the world, and Tony, have all right to hate him and want his arrest. Also I hate Bucky
-What the deal with Zemo, he was supposed to be the main villain right? Firstly there was no purple mask at all, I wouldn’t mind him not wearing it but at least a hint toward it somewhere like in the hotel room or something.
-There’s also this sub-plot with the other winter soldiers, confused? Basically they make them out to be even stronger than the winter soldier and they could pose a huge threat to the world, would make a good final battle possibly. So what do they do with them, Zemo kills them in their sleep, yet more wasted characters.
-The airport scene was by far the best in the movie, but unfortunately it just kind of felt to short, it did show off the powers of everyone mostly well (and yes Bryce Spider-Man was rather exceptional) but I digress, it was still a good scene.
-End Credit scenes, the first one was okay they just put Bucky back into a cryogenic tube, so Steve wasted a movie looking for him pretty much, and the second one set up Spider-Man I suppose? Although for my opinion on it I will quote Lewis ‘You made me sit there to watch a teenager but a fucking towel on his head and look at some lights!?”
-My biggest problem however with this movie is that NO HERO BLOODY DIES, infact that’s a problem I have with Marvel as a whole, almost no major characters die or stay dead, and if they do die they’re not given proper character development (I’m looking at you quicksilver). I like Rhodey but if they were going to cripple him they may as well of just killed him off, giving Tony even more reason to pursue Cap.

Batman V Superman Review: Warren V Bryce

Oh, so spoilers for Batman V Superman ahead, if the trailers haven’t spoiled it enough for you then look ahead with caution.
Some peasants view: (aka Bryce the one who hates everything)
Batman V Superman is worse than Spectre like how?!? How can you ruin everything within 30 seconds they ruined the flash and they ruined literally everything like even Batman didn't feel like Batman he felt like some other superhero and no Ben Affleck is not better than Christian Bale and it ruins it. Everything was awful about this film except one scene where they look into the meta human files and you see the Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg cameos and the only one you get a slight real look at is Aquaman (who in fairness looks amazing) but the flash is just him there then not there and some lightning and cyborgs was just a guy working on cyborg and then he was made. Btw the end credits are the best bit I love them so much it was amazing. The Batman origin story was so bad it was just wasn't needed and by bad I mean Bruce flies on bats out of a well. Lois Lane is in the film for about 4/5 if the movie and she sucks so much and it's just awful. Spoiler Superman dies but wait he's coming back for Justice League so his 15 minute milking his death is just not worth it and it's just a pain to watch. This film is a 3/10 and not even a good 3 like the sort of 3 you look at and just feel pity. Don't watch this film watch it illegally DC don't deserve any money and it is literally a waste of time and money and humanity.
The view of the Ginger:
I would love to say I disagree with Bryce here but this film man, oh dear God, you know a film has gone to shit when in Batman’s origin a load of fucking bats carry him away Dracula Untold style. Dawn of Justice?! The only thing that dawned from this movie, was yet another depressingly dark and brooding Zack Snyder pile of faeces. Perhaps that was a little harsh of a description but the film’s very own director, Mr Snyder himself, describes it as being ‘it is what it is’ now if that doesn’t just fill you with joy and confidence then what will? When one of the best parts of your film is the Captain America Civil War trailer at the beginning you know something went wrong. There are literally 3 redeeming parts to this movie; firstly Alfred, (Bryce disagrees but meh), relatively funny version of alfred and I feel is more helpful than previous cinematic incarnations, secondly the fantastic Aquaman and Cyborg cameos, and I guess the flash one too… But by far, the greatest part of the film, the highlight, the piece of true cinematic greatness was the fenomenale end credits scene, this I shall not spoil, but wait until the very end for a piece of movie history in the making.
Oh yeah and it’s totally better than Spectre.
We also recommend watching the Lego batman move next year instead, infact here's the trailer, it's better than 95% of this film:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBJyp2LFHgk

My edit sum's up the quality of this film...

A Brief Introduction

Hello dear readers, and welcome to what could be a piece of greatness or could be the exact opposite. If i'm honest its more likely the latter but oh well, may as well try! I have little to no idea what this blog will turn out to be, probably reviews from the title but pffffffft anything could happen if I'm actually bothered enough to do anything. There will probably be some good old reviews with Bryce at some point, so just await some greatness. Side note there's a good chance I never review anything and just post some photos or something, so just sit back and wait for whats to come. No matter how bad it may be.
